My passion for taxidermy began when I was just 15 years old. What started as an interest in learning how to preserve the animals I harvested in the outdoors grew into a lifelong passion. For the past 27 years, I have continued to practice and perfect my craft, working in both Michigan and Wyoming.
I also spent 12 years in law enforcement, a career that played an important role in shaping who I am today.Those years taught me discipline, patience, attention to detail, and the importance of taking pride in your work. I bring those same values into my taxidermy, where every detail matters.
Hunting and fishing have been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember, and raising whitetail deer has given me another way to enjoy and appreciate these amazing animals. Above all, I value the time spent with my wife, Jess, and our daughters, Eva and Finley, and the memories we create together.
I believe a quality taxidermy mount should be more than a display piece. It should preserve the memory of a special hunt and the story behind the animal. After 27 years in the craft, I still approach every mount with the same passion that first drew me to taxidermy at 15 years old.
At Code 3 Taxidermy, my goal is simple: to provide quality, detailed taxidermy while giving my customers a level of care and service they can trust. One of the ways I am able to offer a fast turnaround is by doing my own tanning in-house rather than sending your hide away to another facility. Your trophy never leaves my studio. From the moment I receive your animal through the tanning, mounting, and finishing process, it stays in my care. This allows me to maintain control over the quality of the work, keep the process moving efficiently, and get your finished trophy back to you sooner—without sacrificing the attention to detail it deserves.
